London’s main Christmas streets have begun preparations for the winter festivities. This year, Christmas lights and other festive decorations will decorate Oxford Street, London’s Soho and other city locations as early as November 2.
Traditionally, each year the streets are decorated in a particular theme. This year, for example, one of Soho’s main streets, Carnaby Street, will look like the solar system thanks to hundreds of twinkling lights and lanterns in the shape of stars and planets, according to the local authority. In turn, Oxford Street’s Christmas décor will remain unchanged without dramatic changes.
