Politics / The UK will continue to provide military support to Ukraine in 2023
British Prime Minister Liz Truss will address the UN General Assembly with a promise to provide Ukraine with the same level of military support in 2023 as in 2022, the British government said.
World leaders will meet in New York this week. Its main topics will be the global economic turmoil caused by soaring energy prices and the war in Ukraine. Recall that Britain has become one of the leading donors of military aid to Ukraine, having allocated 2.3 billion pounds since the beginning of the war.
Liz Truss and her government have a busy week ahead of them. After the mourning period is over, she is expected to make serious diplomatic and political statements. The visit to the U.S. would be her first overseas trip as British prime minister. There she will hold a series of meetings with world leaders, including U.S. President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron.
