22.10.2024Настя Константинова

Halloween originated in Celtic culture in the Middle Ages - it was originally called the Samhain festival and was celebrated in Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. The celebration marked the beginning of the "dark" season and the honoring of all the dead - it is believed that it was the traditions of paganism that gave rise to Samhain. Today Halloween is celebrated all over the world from Mexico to South Korea - it's a great excuse to dress up as your favorite characters, go to a festive party and plunge into the world of ghosts and legends. Of course, London is not left out. Every year, the British capital hosts a host of atmospheric Halloween events. From underground quests to a night at the museum and Satan's Ball, we tell you which events are worth attending this week.
